Hi. I'm Sue. A lifelong dedicated creative maker with a passion for batik, art & fine woodworking. A graduate of 3D Interior Design and a qualified artist, this website showcases my multi-faceted portfolio and exhibits some of the crossovers between my main disciplines. I am a former student of the John McMahon School of Fine Woodwork, where I honed my craft for 18 months before becoming an intern and subsequently an assistant tutor. From the beginning of this experience I combined my artistic skills with the medium of wood and its natural beauty. It was during my internship I realised a desire to share my knowledge with the students and began assisting in teaching alongside my duties as a workshop technician.
I now offer classes as a therapeutic crafts & art tutor. I am DBS checked and have the Award in Education & Training (PTTLS). I am also a member of The Batik Guild and the area representative for the Guild's North of England membership.
